Dustin Knoop is CEO and founder of Palm Finance Strategies. He has more than 20 years of experience in investment banking and management consulting. Prior to launching Palm Finance Strategies, Dustin was a Director at Credit Suisse focused on leveraged finance and M&A across a broad set of industries.

Dustin works hand-in-hand with management teams to design high-touch, customized M&A sale processes and “quarterbacks” the construction of marketing materials (including marketing presentations and financial forecast models) and the assembly of a dataroom to house due diligence documents. Leveraging established relationships across the industry, Dustin sources bids and provides guidance to sellers for the selection of third-party providers for Quality of Earnings (E&Y, KPMG, Duff & Phelps) and Industry reports where appropriate (Accenture, LEK, KPMG).  Furthermore, Dustin has established partnerships with Investment Banks and Private Credit Funds that can provide a pre-arranged financing package to be offered to bidders.  Being a subject matter expert on investment bank risk tolerances and focus areas of regulators enables thoughtful conversations around optimal financing structure, which in turn maximizes what a potential buyer is able to bid.

 

Dustin received M.S. Economics and B.S. Finance degrees from Lehigh University, is a member of the CFA Institute and received his Chartered Financial Analyst designation in 2005.
